Android 13 is safer for your business

We all use our phones for much more than just texting and making phone calls.

As a result, the majority of your employees are likely to use their personal mobile phone for work on occasion. It’s something that everyone does.

The disadvantage is that it puts your company’s data at risk. If it can be accessed on a personal mobile device and that device is compromised, there is a risk.

That is why the upcoming Android 13 is so significant for businesses.

Google has released more information about the new features in its latest mobile operating system.

There are several features aimed at keeping business data safe and secure while also assisting your employees in maintaining a healthy work/life balance.

On our Android devices, we can already create separate work and personal profiles. This new update makes it even easier to manage these profiles.

Your team, for example, can select which profile to open their apps in.

Assume they needed to watch a training video for work. They can configure their phone to open it in the browser rather than the YouTube app, ensuring that their personal viewing history is not affected (and therefore suggested videos).

IT administrators will benefit from more control over how business devices are used. They will also be able to view Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and password security logs. Also, security patches are installed more quickly.

However, admins’ control over work-issued devices is not the only plus. Your employees will benefit from having their personal profile data encrypted.

Additionally, there will be separate photo galleries for business and personal photos, an improved Lost Mode to lock and locate lost devices, and end-to-end encryption when using the new ChromeOS integration feature.

If you own a Google device, you should already have Android 13. Other Android devices should get the update in the coming weeks.
